Cefpodoxime Proxetil + Sulbactam is a combination of two medicines: Cefpodoxime Proxetil and Sulbactam. Cefpodoxime Proxetil is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Cefpodoxime Proxetil against bacteria.

Directions for Use

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it.

• Finish the prescribed course, even if you start to feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection come back and harder to treat.
• Diarrhea may occur as a side effect. Taking probiotics along with Cefpodoxime Proxetil + Sulbactam may help. Talk to your doctor if you notice bloody stools or develop abdominal cramps.
